The Recycle Project – Director: Ulrike Quade

Choreographer André Gingras and visual theatre maker Ulrike Quade are ‘recycling’ Nicole Beutler’s Les Sylphides (2006), itself a radical interpretation of Michel Fokine’s ballet Les Sylphides (1909). Having access to Beutler’s sources and ideas, Gingras and Quade entered the rehearsal studio and started working on their response: a response which merges the original with a personal feedback, based on their own artistic interest and practice.
